The pistes in the skiing area of Alpe d’Huez are mainly on the south side of the mountain guaranteeing lots of sunshine. However, due to its high altitude the skiing region is very snow sure. Additionally over 700 snow making devices assure good piste conditions. The 220 kilometres of piste and the 82 lifts between the altitudes of 1120 m and 330 m are suitable for beginners as well as for experienced skiers that are looking for a challenge in the ski holidays.
