about Food and drinkThe French cuisine was formed from the old traditions
of farmhouse cookery and the „Grande Cuisine“ of the French noble court.
Up to today good food is very important to the French
and represents a major part of the national identity.
Next to the big supermarkets the small and specialised shops and markets
play a role especially for the acquisition of fresh goods.
A three course menu, consisting of a starter a main course and a desert,
is a typical feature of the French cuisine,
with which they usually enjoy a glass of red wine and some water.
The key to the quality of the French Cuisine is the selection of superb basic materials.
