about Ski areasThe French skiing regions rank amongst the largest, highest and most spacious worldwide. The first to mention is the skiing area Trois Vallées with over 600 kilometres of piste and 200 ski-lifts. It consists of the complete connection of the three valleys von Courchevel, Méribel and Val Thorens/Les Menuires. With its 2.300 metres Val Thorens is the ski resort with the highest location in Europe.
Further combined skiing regions are La Plagne and Les Arcs (420 km of slope, 169 Lifts) as well as Tignes and Val dIsère (350 km of slope, 97 Lifts). The largest glacier ski-regions are to be found in Tignes (2.100-3.350 m) and Les 2 Alpes (1.300-3.560m).
Additionally France is home of the highest mountain in the Alps. The Mont Blanc (4.792 m). At the foot of the mountain lies one of the winter sport hot spots Chamonix, the first scene of Winter Olympics in 1924.
From here the second highest cable car of Europe goes up to the Aiguille du Midi (3842 m),
This is the starting point for one of the longest and most spectacular deep snow ski runs in the world, the glacier run (20 km) through the Vallée Blanche down to Chamonix.
Other winter Olympics took place 1968 in Grenoble (Alpine contests in Cahmrousse) and 1992 in Albertville (Contests amongst others in Tignes).

Les 2 Alpes Après-skiThe transition from skiing to „après-ski“ is seamless as both the apartments and the different après-ski bars are at the foot of the slopes. Many guests enjoy the end of their skiing day in the "Yorin-Bar" which is the SnowTrex bar in the Village. Already at noon the first ones "practise their turns". Before the last ones leave, it is mostly late evening. If you still havenamp;acute;t got enough, you may dance on in one of the several discotheques of Les 2 Alpes. The SnowTrex representative will organise a diversified programme, e.g. a tour through the pubs and discos and a traditional raclette evening - a real MUST! You can enjoy ice skating at the ice rink or the swimming at the swimming pool of Les 2 Alpes as the entrance is included in the lift pass.

Les 2 Alpes SkiingThe fast "Jandri Express" and the metro "Dôme Express"
will lift you to the glacier (3.566 m) in a few minutes.
What a smashing view!
Here the slopes are dividing:
The experts surely will take Europes most spectacular deep snow descent towards La Grave.
"Normal" skiers have the choice between several red and blue slopes.
The longest one has a total length of 17 km!
Really unique is the ski area for beginners.
It is not, as usual, down in the valley , but "on top" at a height of nearly 3.600 m.
This fact guarantees perfect snow conditions for the first turns at any time!
An absolute highlight is the Snowparc on the glacier which is 240.000 m2 large and unique in Europe.
It offers 2 halfpipes, a boarder-cross-track, severals jumps and other obstacles.
Due to its singularity every year the "Mondial du Snowboard“ is held here.
The ski pass "Les 2 Alpes" for 6 days and more is also valid for 2 days in Alpe dHuez
(238 kms marked slopes) as well as for 1 day in Serre-Chevalier (250 kms),
La Voie Lactée (400 kms), Oz/Vaujany (50 kms) and Puy St. Vincent (67 kms).
This means you can choose amongst more than 1.200 kms of marked slopes!
